Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using DSR Logistics services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging DSR Logistics Pvt Ltd ("Company," "we," "our," "us") for packers and movers services, or by using our website at dsrlogistics.com.in, you ("Customer," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

DSR Logistics provides the following services subject to these terms:

  • Home shifting and household goods relocation
  • Office and commercial shifting
  • Car and bike transportation
  • Warehousing and storage services
  • International relocation services
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Related logistics and support services

3. Booking & Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made via phone, email, WhatsApp, or our website
  • All quotes are valid for 15 days unless otherwise specified
  • Booking is confirmed upon written/verbal agreement by both parties
  • We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion
  • Customer must provide accurate information during booking
  • Any changes to booking details must be communicated immediately

4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices quoted are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise
  • GST at 18% is applicable as per current tax laws
  • Quotes are based on information provided by the customer and on-site survey
  • Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original quote
  • Payment is due upon successful delivery unless alternate terms are agreed
  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, UPI, bank transfer, credit/debit cards, corporate invoicing
  • No advance payment required for standard bookings (exceptions apply for large/urgent moves)
  • Late payments may incur interest charges as per applicable laws

5. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about items, locations, and requirements
  • Ensure necessary permissions from building management, society, or authorities
  • Be present or designate an authorized representative during pickup and delivery
  • Declare high-value items (₹50,000+) for adequate insurance coverage
  • Remove prohibited items from shipment (see Section 7)
  • Carry valuables, cash, jewelry, and important original documents personally
  • Provide valid identification and documentation as required
  • Ensure proper access for loading and unloading
  • Settle all dues before final delivery

6. Our Responsibilities

DSR Logistics commits to:

  • Provide trained staff and suitable equipment for the service
  • Use quality packing materials appropriate for the items
  • Handle goods with reasonable care during packing, loading, transport, and unloading
  • Provide full transit insurance coverage
  • Maintain communication throughout the move
  • Complete the move within the agreed timeframe (subject to external factors)
  • Provide GPS tracking for intercity moves
  • Address reasonable complaints and claims promptly

7. Prohibited Items

The following items will not be transported by DSR Logistics:

  • Flammable materials (petrol, kerosene, paints, gas cylinders)
  • Explosives and fireworks
  • Illegal substances and narcotics
  • Perishable food items (for long-distance transport)
  • Live animals and plants (unless via separate pet relocation service)
  • Cash, jewelry, gold, precious metals
  • Firearms and ammunition (unless with proper permits)
  • Hazardous chemicals and toxic substances
  • Items prohibited by law in India or destination country

If prohibited items are discovered, they will not be transported and the customer may be liable for any legal consequences.

8. Insurance & Liability

  • All shipments include comprehensive transit insurance for declared value
  • Standard coverage is based on the value declared by the customer
  • Higher coverage available for premium items (additional premium applies)
  • Claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery with supporting documentation
  • Claims are processed within 7 working days of complete documentation
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the insurance coverage amount
  • We are not liable for damage to items packed by the customer (owner's risk)
  • Pre-existing damage must be documented at pickup
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, accidents) may limit liability

9. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Cancellations up to 24 hours before pickup: Full refund of any advance paid
  • Cancellations within 24 hours: Cancellation fee may apply (typically 5-10% of booking value)
  • Cancellations after packing begins: Actual cost of work completed is charged
  • No-show without notification: Full booking charges may apply
  • Rescheduling is free if done 24+ hours in advance (subject to availability)
  • Refunds are processed within 7-10 working days to the original payment method

10. Delays & Force Majeure

We strive for on-time delivery but cannot be held liable for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions (heavy rains, floods, fog)
  • Traffic congestion or road closures
  • Mechanical breakdowns (vehicle issues)
  • Government actions, regulations, or strikes
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, war)
  • Customer delays in providing access or approvals

Reasonable communication about delays will be provided.

11. Disputes & Complaints

  • All disputes should first be raised with our customer service team

  • We aim to resolve complaints within 7-14 working days
  • Unresolved disputes will be subject to arbitration as per Indian Arbitration Act
  • Jurisdiction: Courts in Kolkata, West Bengal, India
  • Governing law: Laws of India

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website including text, images, logos, and design is the property of DSR Logistics Pvt Ltd and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited without written consent.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
